EMPIRE
AUTOMATED SYSTEMS
Empire has designed and produced hundreds of automated systems, ranging in sophistication from continuous-running turntable cabinets to computer-controlled machines developed specifically for unique production processes. Today, our automated systems descale, decorate, peen, etch, deflash, deburr, clean and finish parts and products in major industries throughout the United States. Users enjoy major increases in productivity, typically reporting gains between 100 and 700 percent. We can customize computer controls, robotics, fixturing, sizing or any other feature.

BASKET BLASTER
If you're looking for a fast, efficient, economical method for finishing smaller parts, check out one of Empire's basket blasters. As parts are rotated through an abrasive blast stream, they are cleaned, finished or peened evenly and automatically. By simply varying air pressure and abrasive media, you control the type of finish you get as well as required processing times. Besides freeing you from the tedious chore of manual parts processing, Empire's basket blasters are inexpensive, come fully assembled and ready for operation, and meet OSHA requirements.

BLAST ROOMS
An Empire blast room provides even greater potential for improving safety and reducing operating costs when you're cleaning, finishing or surface-profiling large work pieces. With the process contained in a specially designed enclosure, blast media and debris are segregated from the external environment. And the operator, equipped with Empire safety gear, is fully protected. A typical Empire room will pay for itself in less than a year through recycling of media. When "low-cost" abrasives such as sand or slag are used, you have to purchase large amounts of media and get rid of equally large amounts, some of which may be considered hazardous. By relying on a blast room, which recycles blast materials, you can move up to media with breakdown rates of lower than 5% per cycle versus the 100% loss of slag or sand.

CABINETS- ECONO-FINISH
Empire's inexpensive Econo-Finish® blast cabinets feature a unique front-access door to simplify loading of parts, save floor space and speed finishing operations. Designed for light-to-medium cleaning and surface-finishing jobs, these economical cabinets combine sturdy, 14-gauge steel construction with the features you need to perform a wide range of finishing tasks. All Econo-Finish® cabinets are equipped with a foot treadle blast control for ease of operation, an external media-regulation device, quick-change safety glass and an improved dust-collection system.

CABINETS- FASTRIP
Pro-Finish® FaStrip® Cabinets are specifically designed for use with low-density media, such as plastics, that provide fast coverage without eroding substrates. Paint stripping for example, can be performed quickly and economically without the use of hazardous chemicals. FaStrip® Cabinets deliver plastic or organic media from a large venturi nozzle coupled to a grounded, flexible blast hose. A large, vibrating screen within the reclaimer and Empire's exclusive automatic Sure-Flo® media regulator, working in tandem with the MG-78 CR exhaust valve, keeps light media flowing smoothly. A magnetic separator is also included in the system to extract ferrous particles that can damage delicate substrates.

CABINETS- IN-LINE CONVEYOR
Now there's a way to air-blast parts in-line through a cabinet at a very attractive price. Empire's IL-885 Conveyor Cabinet costs 60 to 70 percent less than an automated in-line blast system, but delivers comparable results when used on short-production runs. Designed specifically for economy and light production, this cabinet incorporates all the proven features of Empire's standard Pro-Finish® line. We've added a conveyor assembly with a 9-inch wide by 72-inch long belt, as well as variable speed control, enabling you to simply load work pieces at one end and take them off on the other. This system, which includes adjustable part guides, is ideal for deburring, cleaning, surface profiling, and finishing work pieces.

CABINETS- PRO-FINISH
Pro-Finish® cabinets are the preferred choice in production applications. These rugged, easy-to-use cabinets are available in five standard sizes with your choice of a dust bag or dust collector and can be ordered as either suction systems or high-velocity pressure blast systems, which boost production rates in many jobs by 400 percent or more. Because Pro-Finish® systems feature a modular design approach, you can select from a wide range of standard factory options to meet your particular application requirements precisely. In other words, you can tailor a Pro-Finish® system to your requirements without paying for features and accessories you don't need.

CABINETS- PROFORMER
Empire ProFormer™ cabinets put it all together in a single assembly that's easy to move and simple to hook up. These cabinets require only two connections, air and electrical, and include features offered in our high-production Pro-Finish® line. Plus, they now come in two sizes: the 3642 with interior working dimensions of 36 inches deep by 42 inches wide by 48 inches high and its bigger brother, the 4652, with working space of 46 inches by 52 inches by 48 inches. Both include a tunable media reclaimer, capable of recycling a variety of abrasives, and a cartridge-type dust collector, monitored by a minihelic gauge, contained in the same enclosure as the cabinet, along with all electrical and pneumatic interconnections between components. Forklift slots are also provided, making these units easy to move between work stations.

CABINETS- SAFESTRIP
Empire SafeStrip™ cabinets contain the blast process during the cleaning and stripping of delicate surfaces. They are designed to work in conjunction with our SafeStrip™ portable as well as other pots capable of delivering fine media. With a SafeStrip™ system, you can quickly and safely remove old coatings, dirt, oil, corrosion and other unwanted residues from soft metals, rubber, plastics and other sensitive surfaces. SafeStrip™ is ideal for work on tools, machine parts and molds, and in many other applications requiring a "light touch."

MEDIA RECOVERY
The economic advantages of reusable media are enormous. A key feature of a recovery system is the reclaimer's ability to separate unusable dust from good media. This improves visibility in the blasting area and increases the blast effectiveness. The reclaimer may be adjustable so that it works with different types and sizes of media.

POTS/PORTABLES- ECONO-BLAST
Econo-Blast® portables are compact pressure blasters that share many features with their big brother, SuperBlast®. Available in three sizes with grit capacities of 1, 1.5, and 3 cubic feet, these portables include ASME vessel certification for safety, flexible air hose for ease of maintenance, wheels for portability, and a pressure gauge. Less grit capacity and smaller nozzles make these units ideal for spot blasting and detail work, particularly on a limited budget.

POTS/PORTABLES- SUCTION
With Empire suction blasters, you enjoy the benefits of blasting at a very low cost. Our S-4 and S-100 suction units have trigger-action guns for start-stop control. They're well suited for less demanding work such as removing light rust and paint, frosting glass and spot blasting. Plus, you can get started with an air compressor as small as two horsepower with a fine grade of #70 grit.

POTS/PORTABLES- SUPERBLAST
Simplicity, safety, reliability and performance-those were our design goals when we engineered SuperBlast® portables. Many years on tough jobs, such as removing corrosion, preparing surfaces for coating and maintaining heavy equipment, have proved that SuperBlast® portables deliver exceptional value in the field. A look at the features below will show you that SuperBlast® portables are made of the "right stuff." These rugged systems are the product of ingenuity and experience; they combine a host of standard features designed to boost productivity and profits. In addition, they can be ordered in a variety of configurations, including your choice of pneumatic or electric remote controls, a complete OSHA package and a full line of accessories. SuperBlast® makes short work of big projects; and small jobs are a snap. For the best blasting results, nothing beats SuperBlast®.
